The Damned Things/Maylene and the Sons of Disaster Announce August Tour Dates
This is probably going to be one you won’t want to miss. Unless you live in Boston, because there is no Boston date.
Grumblings aside, The Damned Things have been nothing but impressive since the second they hit my tumblr dashboard, and I have heard only good things about their live show. This is sure to be one of this summer’s better show options, because not only are The Damned Things one of the best new bands on the circuit, but Maylene and the Sons of Disaster are going to tear it up on stage as well.
Methinks that the reason for the lack of a Boston date is the fact that The Damned Things have had absolutely nothing for radio support here, unless I just haven’t stayed up to date on my radio hits well enough :p. This is understandable considering they certainly aren’t an FNX band, and they wouldnt fit on radio 92.9, but where the hell is WBCN and KISS 108? ”We’ve Got a Situation Here” is certainly a heavier song, but certainly mainstream enough, and I really think if given the chance Boston would totally embrace these guys.
